Chearsley 2 v Twyford 3
By Chearsley CC
Dream team win
The 2's got back to winning ways against a very young Twyford third string. Captain Adam Lazaruk won the toss and decided to bat. However the ball didnt come on to the bat Lazaruk himself going early Jonathan Hirst (49) and Mark Claridge (40) adding 64 for the second wicket. Owen Fisher contributed a belligerent 32 off 15 balls and Duncan Stratford was unbeaten in the end with 35.
Young Billy Harper with 7-38 was the visitors best bowler, the hosts finishing on 215-9.
Twyford started well Simon Harper top scoring with 33 and son Billy contributing 32 and at one time they were 97 for 3, a mini collapse followed though a last wicket stand added nearly 30 with Henry Harper scoring 20. The inning ended at 172 giving the hosts their first victory for some weeks Mark Claridge took 4-28 and Owen Fisher 4-53. Apart from next week's visit of Thame 3 they look to have a fairly easy run in.
